The O+C marking indicates a floor profile that has bevelled edges on one side and on the other side you will find a floor profile, allowing for double-sided use.

Laying the floor
It is important to complete any construction work that involves wet processes such as plastering or subfloor concrete well in advance of the actual laying. Ideally, the wettability should preferably be below 2%.
Tip: When installing wood flooring, select decking randomly from different packs. This will ensure a natural and regular distribution of the wood grain.
Painting the wooden floor
Different types of coating materials can be used to paint a wooden floor made of decking, depending on your preference of appearance and the functionality you want to achieve. Here are some options:
Oil on wood: Oil coatings are popular for preserving the natural look of wood. You can use wood oil with different shades according to your preference.
Floor varnish. Varnish protects the wood from damage and abrasion, but can hide some of the natural look of the wood. Use Xyladecor Gloss or Xyladecor Semi-Mat Floor Varnish.
Paint with pigment: You may consider using paints with pigment to brighten the floor and give it a distinctive look.
Protective coating: To protect the wood, you may consider a coating with protective ingredients that prevents moisture, scratches and wear. Try Xyladecor Xylamon woodworm protection.
Tip: Try out the colour shade on a small piece before you go for a full floor coating. If you're happy with the shade when it dries, go ahead with the overall coating.

How we store spruce flooring
Timber floors are stored horizontally in areas with good ventilation to prevent possible scorching and subsequent changes to the wood properties such as discolouration, warping and cracking.

We wrap each pack of wooden floors in stretch film and secure the sides with strong cardboard. The whole package is tightly sealed with PVC tape.
