Detailed Description
What is a rhombus facade profile
Therhombus profile is a specific shape ofwooden façade planks that creates a geometric diamond shape. Rhombus is often used as a wooden facade cladding. The wooden façade creates a modern detail with a touch of nature. Rhombus Siberian larch is popular for its aesthetic value and its ability to create a unique look for a wooden façade without the need for heavy maintenance.
Rhombus installation
When installing a timber façade, proper preparation is the key to the lasting beauty and durability of a timber façade. Even if you are an experienced joiner, carpenter or skilled DIYer, the advice of a designer or architect will certainly pay off.
When installing a wooden facade, use only high-quality stainless steel material. Avoid splitting the rhombus by pre-drilling.
Maintenance and painting of rhombus facade tiles
If you want to preserve the original appearance and prevent the typical grey patina that appears after about a year due to the weather, we recommend using a coating based on natural oils and waxes. If you prefer a colourless wood finish, you may consider using a product with UV protection.
For wood protection with an emphasis on maintaining the natural look, we recommend a lightly pigmented coating, available in a variety of shades. When applying, follow the instructions in the technical data sheets for the respective products.
The difference between Siberian and European larch rhombus
Siberian larch is characterised by its long service life and almost maintenance-free properties. It is characterised by a finer grain and less knottiness. This is why Siberian larch is more expensive than European larch.
European larch does not have the density and hardness of Siberian larch. It is more affordable.
