Spruce decking boards Classic BC 15x121x4200 mm with tongue and groove are suitable for interior. You can use BC wooden decking for wooden wall cladding or wooden ceiling in a room or garden house. You can use them wherever functionality is more important than aesthetics.

Outside, decking of this thickness is used only rarely, for example in the manufacture of beehives or as fence panels.

What is the Classic Profile

Classic C decks are machined on four sides. They are characterized by a short tongue (KP), which creates a smaller V-shaped joint when knocked together. The decks are connected by a tongue and groove system.

Quality of BC timber decking

The BC quality decking is produced in AB quality. The defects are already visible here. They contain 40% of quality B and 60% of quality C. The decking is dried to a moisture content of 12 - 16%.

Cover width of the wooden decking

The covering width of the decking is less by a pen, which is approximately 8mm less of the total width.

Example: For a 15×121 (thickness × width) decking, the covering width is 113 mm (121 mm - 8 mm = 113 mm).

Tip: Always allow the wooden decking to acclimatise (at least 14 days) in the place where you will be fixing it. This will avoid unwanted swelling or shrinkage of the decking due to other ambient moisture.

Installation of BC Klasik decking

Use the decking clips to attach the decking easily. The decking is untreated and the wood needs to be given a protective coating. The decking will be protected from wood-boring fungi, mould, insects and moisture.

Why are the grooves on the underside of the decking

Decking boards have grooves milled into the underside to keep them stable and free from warping.

Tip: Do not force the decking together and keep a 1mm gap between the tongue and groove. The wood is constantly working and will swell with increased humidity/temperature and vice versa.

What screws to use for decking

When using screws or nails it is important that their length is at least twice the thickness of the decking.

We pack the wooden boards in stretch film. The whole package with the decking is tightly sealed with PVC tape.
