Detailed Description
Cover width
The deck is smaller by a pen, which is approximately 8 mm less of the total width. Example: for a 24x146mm (thickness x width) deck, the covering width is 138 mm (146 mm - 8 mm = 138 mm)
What are O profile floorboards
Profile O floorboards are machined on four sides. They are characterised by sharp edges, which creates a minimal joint when knocked down and prevents the ingress of dust and dirt. The decking boards are joined using a tongue and groove system.

Installation of floorboards
There are three basic ways of installingfloorboards:
1. Installation of wood flooring on OSB
2. Installation of floor boards on a grid of squares
3. Installation / bonding of floor boards to concrete
Tip: Always allow the wooden flooring to acclimatise (at least 14 days) in the place where you will be fixing it. This will avoid unwanted swelling or shrinkage of the decking due to other ambient moisture.
Renovating a wooden floor
If the decking becomes badly damaged by scratches and dents, simply sand the floor and then treat it with varnish or oil.
Why are the grooves on the underside of the decking
Decking boards have grooves milled into the underside to keep them stable and free from warping.
Tip: Do not force the decking together and keep a 1 mm gap between the tongue and groove. The wood is constantly working and will swell with increased humidity/temperature and vice versa.
What screws to use for decking
When using screws or nails it is important that their length is at least twice the thickness of the decking.
Interior screws - galvanised
Exterior screws - stainless steel (corrosion resistant)
Recommendation: always allow for cutting through the material, so we recommend a 5-10% margin.
